To prove your French proficiency in Quebec, you'll need to pass the TEFaQ (Test d’évaluation du français adapté pour le Québec).
These tests are used by the Ministère de l’Immigration de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI) to measure your French language proficiency for its Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ) immigration selection process. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) also recognizes TEFaQ test results for its citizen selection procedures.
The TEFaQ exams you'll need to pass:
First compulsory test: an oral comprehension test that will evaluate how well you're able to listen to and understand spoken French.
Second compulsory test: a speaking exam that tests your oral expression. During the exam, you'll need to prove your speaking skills while conversing with an instructor.
Two optional tests: grammar and writing tests.
